I started caring for guinnea pigs when I was ages 5-11 and have plenty experience with smaller animals, however I have spent 18 months caring for 2 fully grown boxers and have plenty of experience with bigger dog that are less easy to care for and will pull on the lead when out for a walk are known for barking at other dogs. I also now help look after a cocker spaniel and regularly take her for walks
